Interim HealthCare Inc. Honors Franchise Partners and Offices for Excellence in Home Care Delivery

SUNRISE, Fla. — July 11, 2024 Interim HealthCare, the nation’s leading network of home care, senior care, home health, hospice and medical staffing services, announced the company’s 2024 Annual Awards winners at its Franchise Partnership Conference. Winners were honored in a variety of categories, including care delivery and quality, sales, and leadership.

 

Interim HealthCare’s longstanding history and track record of excellence is only achievable through the dedication and passion of its independently owned franchises across the country. Franchise partners and teams continuously exhibit integrity and compassion to support local communities and grow their businesses. Notably, longtime Interim HealthCare franchise partner and outgoing Owners Advisory Council (OAC) Chair Lou Byrd won both the prestigious Leroy Dettman Founder’s Award and the National Patient Satisfaction Award. Byrd started her career with Interim HealthCare 43 years ago as a customer service representative and worked her way to franchise partner, a role she has held for the past 17 years. A noted business and community leader, Byrd believes coaching and training are essential in the growth and retention of her staff and empowers them with continuous staff development opportunities across her offices in North Carolina and Virginia. Under her leadership, Byrd’s offices consistently set a high bar for making a positive impact on the people they serve through excellent customer service.

 

Interim HealthCare congratulates the following 2024 Annual Awards winners for their remarkable achievements this year.

 

Interim HealthCare 2024 Annual Awards Winners

 

President’s Pinnacle Award is presented to Shannon Priddy, Interim HealthCare of Manassas, Virginia; The McCoy Family, Interim HealthCare of Houston, Texas; Steve Alessandro, Jamie Wesner and Jeanne Byl, Interim HealthCare of Hudson, Wisconsin (Hospice); and The Falcon Organization, Interim HealthCare of Big Spring (Hospice and Home Care), Plainview (Hospice), and Temple, Texas (Hospice). This award is presented to offices that have at least doubled their business over the last two years with minimum annual sales of $2 million at the end of that two-year period.

 

Transformation Award is presented to Jeremy Carlson, Interim HealthCare of Duluth, Minnesota. This award is presented to the individual or office that has achieved sales growth over the previous year despite facing significant market segment changes and challenges. The award recognizes strategic thinking and decisive actions to not only survive, but thrive, in times of change.

 

Allan C. Sorensen Business Integrity Award is presented to Steve Alessandro, Jamie Wesner and Jeanne Byl, Interim HealthCare of Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin. This award bears the name of Interim HealthCare’s co-founder, who was involved with the company for more than 50 years as President, Chief Executive Officer, Chairman and Chairman Emeritus. It is presented to the individual(s) who demonstrate outstanding ethics and business integrity in the routine operation of their business while simultaneously increasing overall market penetration. 

 

Raymond C. Herriges Management Award is presented to Alison Hammerton, Interim HealthCare of Peoria, Illinois. Raymond Herriges was Interim HealthCare’s first healthcare franchise partner and was instrumental in developing initial operating policies and procedures. This award is presented to the individual who has achieved the greatest degree of operational excellence combined with outstanding sales growth during the previous year.

 

Pioneer Award is presented to Beth and Tim Knaus, Interim HealthCare of Macon, Georgia. This award is presented to the franchise partner whose strategy and results demonstrate pioneering, entrepreneurial spirit and action. The recipient leads the way in developing new service lines, new service delivery strategies or other activities and shares the map and tools with others that choose to follow.

 

Sustained Growth Award is presented to Nick Mannino, Interim HealthCare of New Castle, Delaware. The Sustained Growth Award recognizes a franchise partner who, despite facing many hurdles to improve their revenue, has successfully grown their sales year-over-year for 10 consecutive years.    

 

Leroy E. Dettman Founder’s Award is presented to Lou Byrd, Interim HealthCare of Raleigh, North Carolina and Roanoke, Virginia. In 1946, Roy Dettman founded Labor Pool in Chicago, Illinois. This was the original company out of which Interim HealthCare emerged in 1966. This award is presented to the individual who best personifies the entrepreneurial spirit with the dedication, discipline and direction necessary to consistently achieve profitable growth and expansion from year to year. 

                

Jason Bullard Leadership Excellence Award is presented to Claude “Chip” Camp, Interim HealthCare of Dothan, Alabama. This award recognizes an individual who demonstrates the ability to lead people and organizations to their full potential. By their words and actions, they inspire and empower team members to help build the business and produce outstanding results in sales, customer service and

return on investment. This award recognizes leadership as the essential ingredient for long-term success in the business.

 

Ownership Group of the Year Exceptional Growth Awards are presented to The Falcon Group, Interim HealthCare of Lubbock, Texas (Tier 1); Beth and Tim Knaus, Interim HealthCare of Macon, Georgia (Tier 2); Alfredo Urias, Interim HealthCare of Central El Paso, Texas (Tier 3); Jonathan and Kevin Velting, Interim HealthCare of Hendersonville, Tennessee (Tier 4). These awards are given by tier level based on the franchise partner’s size and revenue achievement. 

 

Office of the Year Exceptional Growth Awards are presented to Interim HealthCare of Ft. Bend, Texas for Medicare; Interim HealthCare of Lexington, Massachusetts for Medicaid and government; Interim HealthCare of Duluth, Minnesota for staffing; Interim HealthCare of Sioux Falls, South Dakota for commercial insurance; Interim HealthCare of Wausau, Wisconsin for hospice; Interim HealthCare of Central El Paso, Texas for private pay and new franchise partner, respectively. These awards are given to franchise partners representing our individual service lines who have achieved tremendous growth in each specific service line they represent.

 

Eagle Club Recognition is awarded to four owner groups. Eagle Club criteria are based on sales results from 2023. Silver Level: The McCoy Family, Joan Sullivan and Bernie Bulger. Bronze Level: Mike Hawkins and Gwen and Brandon Sayler. 

 

Hospice Patient Satisfaction HCAHPS is presented to Inspirium, Interim HealthCare of Greenville, South Carolina and The Salo Organization, Interim HealthCare of Erie, Pennsylvania. This award is based on the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) CAHPS Hospice Survey which measures the experiences that patients and their caregivers have with hospice care.

 

Quality Rating of Patient Care, Hospice, is presented to The Salo Organization, Interim HealthCare of Johnstown, Pennsylvania. This award reflects the highest score for the number one quality indicator, “Would you recommend this hospice to a friend?”

 

Home Health Five Star HHCAHPS is presented to The Salo Organization, Interim HealthCare of Edgewood, Kentucky. This award is designed to measure the experiences of people receiving home health care from Medicare-certified home health agencies.

 

Quality of Patient Care Five Star Home Health is presented to The Falcon Group, Interim HealthCare of Corpus Christi, Texas, Waco, Texas, and Roswell, New Mexico. This award reflects how home health agencies’ scores compare with one another on measurements of their quality of patient care performance, which includes both process and outcome quality measures that are currently reported on CMS Care Compare.  

 

National Patient Satisfaction Award is presented to Lou Byrd, Interim HealthCare of Raleigh, North Carolina and Roanoke, Virginia. This award is given to the agency or individual who sets a high standard and makes a positive impact on the people Interim HealthCare serves. 

 

Nurse of the Year is presented to Jennifer Ragsdale, RN, Interim HealthCare of Hudson, Wisconsin. part of National Nurses Week, Interim HealthCare annually honors a nurse in its organization who exemplifies the true heart of nursing and the company’s core values of integrity, compassion, customer focus, innovation and responsibility.
