Meet Our Team-Alison Hammerton
Jul. 11
Hello! I am Alison Hammerton, one of the owners of Interim HealthCare in Peoria, IL. I am honored to be a part of the Interim team. Our goal is to serve area families and their loved ones with the ability to stay safe, flexible, and independent in the places they call home.
My relationship with Interim began in 2017, when my husband asked if I would be interested in embarking on a journey of serving the senior community in Central Illinois. As I came from the world of teaching and coaching, I was a bit hesitant; I was not sure I had the necessary background. But of course, if the desire and commitment are there (and they were!), the skills can be learned. After much consideration, we decided to join the Interim HealthCare family of over 300 agencies nationwide. We opened our doors in April 2020. Since then, we have grown steadily and always kept our focus on providing excellent care and being a great place to work for all our employees.
When people ask how our business is going, I often say, “You know, I am from Peoria and have lived here much of my life, but Interim has given me the opportunity to meet wonderful people whom I never would have known had we not started this business.” It really has been beyond fulfilling to serve in this role.
When not working with our clients and their families, I enjoy competitive swimming, community service, and spending time with my family. And my biography would not be complete without my sharing that I am proud to be a University of Illinois alum. GO Illini!

Meet Our Team-Lesley Vonachen
Jul. 11
My name is Lesley Vonachen. I am one of the owners of Interim Healthcare. I was born and raised in Peoria. My husband and I raised our four beautiful children here and are lucky to have two of our four back here to live and raise their families. We are also lucky to have grandparents, aunts, and uncles as well as extended family still in the Peoria area.
I attended Drake University and graduated with a degree in special education. I taught students with severe and profound disabilities, which I loved. My passion for taking care of people has been consistent in my life. My siblings and I took care of my mother and father in their home in their final years. I realized then what a gift it is to be able to stay at home and age with dignity and respect. Helping others manage their aging years has now become my passion. I am proud to be a part of our Interim team to help families and their loved ones experience this time in their life gracefully. In my spare time I enjoy volunteering my time and talents to things that make Peoria a great place to live. Hiking, working out, traveling, spending time with my family and friends, and listening to music are some things I do in my spare time.

Meet Our Team-Erin Maughan
Jul. 11
Hello, I’m Erin Maughan, the Director of Quality Assurance at Interim Healthcare right here in Peoria, Illinois. I first joined the healthcare industry six years ago, first as an on-call care coordinator before transitioning to office assistant and finally coming into my current role. I genuinely enjoy working with both our caregivers and our clients to make sure that everyone's experience is a positive one.
Before beginning my healthcare journey, I spent over a decade mastering the art of cosmetology. That experience taught me the importance of precision, personalized service, and the joy of being able to make a positive impact in someone’s day. Those lessons were incredibly valuable as I transitioned into the healthcare industry, where the stakes are even higher, and I've found that the rewards are even more profound.
Outside of work, my life revolves around my wonderful family. You will find me spending time with my husband Matt and our 4 energetic kids, volunteering at church and taking care of my growing chicken flock.

I spent thirteen years as the Lead Emergency Department Technician at Proctor Hospital, where I assisted in caring for the Peoria community with a variety of needs. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter at our home in Eureka, IL.
Meet Our Team-Tia Mortensen
Jul. 11
Hello! My name is Tia Mortensen. I am the Director of Operations for Interim HealthCare. Throughout my life my role model has been my grandfather, the respect and level of admiration I have for him has always fueled my desire to be an advocate for seniors. I started my healthcare career in long term care, while obtaining my degree from Bradley University in 2014. In the past decade, through different healthcare positions, I have had the opportunity to assist hundreds of families navigate their care options. I have always been passionate about seniors aging in place. I was thrilled to become a part of the Interim team in 2022, knowing that the mission is to keep people independent and safe wherever they call home. Being a resource for every family we encounter is what I love most about the day-to-day operations.
Outside of the office, I enjoy time with my husband and our two children. We all love the outdoors and love spending time fishing together or just being at the lake near our home. To honor my grandmother, I have become a volunteer with the local Alzheimer's Association and enjoy raising awareness and encouraging fundraising to support a cause near and dear to my heart.
